The panel
What are the SlimTide ingredients and amounts?
Every amount below comes straight from the Supplement Facts panel. The serving size is one capsule, and there are 30 servings in a bottle.
| Ingredient | Per capsule | Studied at |
|---|---|---|
| Chicory root inulin | 211 mg | Median 10 g a day in 32 trials; 21 g a day in a 12-week trial |
| Potato resistant starch | 100 mg | 30 g a day for 12 weeks |
| Probiotic blend (3 species) | 36 mg, CFU not printed | No direct comparison possible |
| Other ingredients | Not weighed | Hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silica |
The total is 347 mg, and inulin is the biggest piece at about a fifth of a gram.
Ingredient 1
Chicory root inulin in SlimTide
Inulin is a fiber from chicory root. You cannot digest it, so gut bacteria ferment it in the large gut, which makes it a prebiotic fiber. It is studied for weight because it may affect hunger signals.
A 2024 review of 32 chicory inulin trials reported about 0.97 kg more loss than control at a median 10 g a day, in research funded by a fiber supplier. SlimTide holds 211 mg, roughly 47 to 100 times less than the doses studied. Our post on inulin and fiber for weight sets out the trials.
Ingredient 2
Potato resistant starch in SlimTide
Resistant starch is starch that escapes digestion and behaves like fiber. The positive potato trial used 30 g a day for 12 weeks and was co-funded by the ingredient maker. Reviews find little or no clear weight change. One capsule holds 100 mg, about 300 times less than that trial.

The SlimTide probiotic blend
Three species share one 36 mg line, and the label does not say how much of each is inside.
- Akkermansia muciniphila. A gut bacterium studied in a 32-person pilot at about 10 billion pasteurized cells a day for 3 months. Insulin sensitivity improved; weight change was not significant. The label does not say whether its cells are live or pasteurized.
- Bifidobacterium infantis. A common probiotic species. Our sources hold no weight trial of this species alone.
- Clostridium butyricum. A butyrate-making bacterium. Our sources hold no weight trial of this species alone either.
Bacteria are normally counted in CFU, or colony-forming units, not in milligrams. NIH notes that a printed weight can include dead cells. Read more in our post on what CFU means on a label.
The daily amount
How much of the SlimTide ingredients do you get each day?
The label says one capsule a day with an 8 oz glass of water, and not to exceed that dose. So the daily amount is the same as the per-capsule amount: 211 mg of chicory root inulin, 100 mg of potato resistant starch and 36 mg of the probiotic blend.
Put plainly, a capsule carries roughly 1/47 to 1/100 of the studied inulin dose and about 1/300 of the potato dose. NIDDK suggests that people add food fiber in steps of 2 to 3 grams a day, which is 6 to 10 times the 311 mg of fiber in one capsule. Beans, vegetables, fruit, oats and whole grains supply fiber in grams. Single-ingredient studies also do not prove what a combination does, and SlimTide itself has no published trial.
