By weight
How much does each SlimTide ingredient weigh?
Together the three lines add up to 347 mg. Fiber makes up 311 mg of that, about a third of one gram.
- 347 mg
Everything listed in one capsule: 211 mg of chicory root inulin, 100 mg of potato resistant starch and a 36 mg probiotic blend.
- 311 mg
Total fiber per capsule. Chicory inulin trials used a median of 10 g a day (Meta-analysis: chicory inulin and weight (2024), trade report), more than 30 times this whole amount.
- 36 mg
The probiotic blend is printed by weight only. NIH ODS notes that weight can include dead cells and that CFU is the useful count (NIH ODS: probiotics).
Each line per capsule, as printed
- Chicory root inulin211 mg
- Potato resistant starch100 mg
- Probiotic blend (3 strains)36 mg, CFU not printed
Amounts from the Supplement Facts panel. The split between the three probiotic strains is not printed, so no strain gets its own bar.
36 mg
Why is the SlimTide probiotic blend listed in milligrams, not CFU?
Labels must show the weight of the microbes, which can include dead cells. A CFU count is optional, says the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements (NIH ODS: probiotics).
CFU stands for colony-forming units. It estimates cells that can still grow. The fact sheet adds that probiotics must be alive to work, can die during shelf life, and that a useful count is one that holds at the end of shelf life (NIH ODS: probiotics).
How many live cells are inside, how the weight splits among the three species, which strains they are, and whether the Akkermansia is live or pasteurized. None of these is printed.
Effects belong to a strain, not a species. NCCIH says a benefit from one strain does not carry over to another (NCCIH: probiotics safety). An expert panel adds that the word probiotic should mean defined strains with an adequate live count (ISAPP: probiotic consensus (2014)). Questions to ask the seller sit on the probiotics and CFU page.
Storage
Should SlimTide go in the fridge or a cool, dry place?
Both lines are printed, and the fridge satisfies both. A refrigerator is cool, and a closed bottle stays dry inside it.
"Refrigerate for optimal quality"
Printed twice: once under suggested use, once with storage. The sales page adds: refrigerate after opening.
"Store in a cool, dry place"
Printed in capitals with the seal and child warnings. Read it as a minimum for an unopened bottle.
Cold helps live cultures. In one storage test, 4°C kept bacteria alive better than 28°C over four weeks (Probiotic storage and viability (2018)). Keep the cap tight. Daily routine tips: how to use SlimTide.

What do the SlimTide front claims and the asterisk mean?
Each claim ends in an asterisk, and the asterisk points to the FDA statement. It means the FDA has not evaluated the claim. FDA does not approve supplements or their labels before sale (FDA: supplements Q&A).
| Claim as printed | Type | What we found |
|---|---|---|
| "Metabolic & Digestive Support*" | Brand headline | No trial of SlimTide published |
| "Supports Appetite Control And Satiety*" | Brand claim | One oligofructose trial saw lower intake at 21 g a day (Oligofructose trial, 21 g a day (2009)); the capsule has 211 mg of inulin |
| "Promotes Energy Production From Fats*" | Brand claim | No source we use links these amounts to fat use |
Single-ingredient studies may not support claims for a combination, the FTC says (FTC: health claims need trials). More: SlimTide benefits and limits.

FAQ
SlimTide Supplement Facts FAQ
What are the ingredients in SlimTide?
Each capsule lists chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a 36 mg Probiotic Blend of Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. The capsule itself is hypromellose, with microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica as other ingredients.
How many CFU are in SlimTide?
The label does not say. It lists the probiotic blend as 36 mg by weight, and NIH notes that weight can include dead cells (NIH ODS: probiotics). Ask the order desk at +1 (302) 200-3480 whether a CFU figure exists, and at what point in shelf life it applies.
Does SlimTide need to be refrigerated?
Yes, the label says "Refrigerate for optimal quality" and the sales page says to refrigerate after opening. The label also prints "store in a cool, dry place". Keeping the open bottle capped in the fridge meets both lines.
Does SlimTide contain caffeine?
No caffeine or other stimulant is listed on the SlimTide label. The active lines are two fibers and a probiotic blend. The label caution about medical conditions still applies.
Who makes SlimTide?
The label names Instituto Experience of Lakeland, Florida, as distributor and says made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. No factory is named. Slimtidebalance is an authorized retailer, not the maker or the distributor.
Is SlimTide approved by the FDA?
No. SlimTide is a dietary supplement, and FDA does not approve supplements or their labels before sale (FDA: supplements Q&A). The asterisk on each front claim marks a statement the FDA has not evaluated.
